With dedicated energy leads in place, Teck has made energy management a priority across the company.

Each Teck operation has a three-year energy action plan in place, guided by energy reduction targets in Teck's Sustainability Strategy.

In partnership with Thompson Rivers University, Teck has developed innovative energy consumption modelling for its Highland Valley Cooper operation in south-central British Columbia. This modelling supports optimal energy efficiency in mine-to-mill applications.
