Online/Canada – CMP 2023
The 55th Canadian Mineral Processors (CMP) Operators Conference will take place on 17th-19th January 2023 at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa, Canada.
The organising committee said the conference will cover all aspects of mineral processing for all commodities, including plant design, start-up and improvement; process optimisation and control; comminution, ore sorting and flotation; gold and precious metals recovery; application of new technologies; and tailings handling and management.
Registration is now open online, with an early registration rate available until 16th December.
Online/US – SME MINEXCHANGE 2023
The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) MINEXCHANGE 2023 Annual Conference & Expo will take place from 26th February – 1st March 2023 in Denver, Colorado, US.
The theme of the 2023 edition of the conference is ‘Investing in Success – Building Trust in Mining’. The organisers said: “As the mining industry steps into the spotlight, supplying the minerals critical to powering a green economy, the focus on ESG, innovation and health & safety is more important than ever.”
Some of the topics covered by the technical programme include industry innovation, responsible mining, workforce development and health & safety.

Canada – PDAC 2023
The 91st edition of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annual convention, PDAC 2023, will take place in Toronto, Canada from 5th-8th March 2023.
The convention includes a technical programme where industry experts will discuss current and emerging trends, technologies, research and analysis in a dynamic series of presentations. The sessions will examine various commodities, geological regions, geoscience disciplines, and more.

South Africa – Comminution ’23
MEI’s 13th International Comminution Symposium (Comminution ’23) conference will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 17th-20th April 2023. CEEC is a proud Industry Advocate of this event.
The event will profile cutting-edge research and innovation in all aspects of crushing, grinding and ultrafine grinding in the minerals industry. The conference organisers are expecting a large turnout of delegates who are keen to get back to doing business and socialising face-to-face – in fact, the exhibition is already sold out.

Canada – CIM 2023
The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) convention and expo will be held in Montreal, Canada from 30th April – 3rd May 2023. The theme of the event is ‘Building trust to decarbonize the world’.
There will be a three-day program of technical presentations covering the following topics:

Serbia - IMPRC 2023
The XV International Mineral Processing and Recycling Conference (IMPRC 2023) will take place in Belgrade, Serbia on 17th-19th May 2023.
The conference organisers aim to create an international forum for academics, researchers, and scientists from around the world to present their latest research results, ideas, and developments regarding the issues related to mineral processing and recycling technologies and related areas.

Zambia - Copper Cobalt Africa 2023
SAIMM’s third Copper Cobalt Africa conference will take place in Livingstone, Zambia from 13th-15th June 2023.
The organisers said that the event will provide a unique forum for discussion, sharing of experience and knowledge, and networking for all those interested in the processing of copper, cobalt and base metals in an African context.
This conference provides a platform for discussion of new and more agile ways of operating and remaining relevant and innovative in a world that has changed considerably since the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Australia – World Mining Congress 2023
The 26th World Mining Congress will take place in Brisbane, Australia from 26th-29th June 2023.
Hosted by the CSIRO, the congress will feature mining experts from around the globe sharing their research and technological developments.
The congress has three overarching themes: Digital Transformation, Zero Harm and Emissions, and the Circular Economy. These themes will be addressed over four days under 12 streams.

Online/Canada – SAG 2023
SAG 2023 (R)Evolution will take place in Vancouver, Canada on 24th-28th September 2023.
The conference will bring together mineral processing professionals with a focus on evolving comminution towards a sustainable future. The organisers said that attendees will be able to expand their knowledge base and learn about advances in innovation, the key changes happening in crushing and grinding that will help shape mining for the next decade. It will also focus on specific environmental initiatives, and improving the economic and social wellbeing of the communities where mining takes place.

Australia – MetPlant 2023
The dates for MetPlant 2023 have been moved by a week to 5th-8th November 2023; CEEC is a proud supporter of this event. The location has not changed – it will still be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre in Adelaide, Australia.
The conference theme is ‘World’s Best Practice in Metallurgical Plant Design and Operating Strategies’, while major underpinning themes are energy/carbon footprint reduction, process safety and ESG in autonomous operations, modularisation of plants, social performance and designing for renewable energy. CEEC Director and past Chair Joe Pease is one of the Keynote speakers at the event.
The event will be hosted face to face in Adelaide. Delegates will access outstanding keynote and technical presentations, interactive panel sessions, a full live trade exhibition, interactive discussion groups, short courses and networking functions, from anywhere in the world.
Papers selected and presented at MetPlant 2023 are eligible to be nominated for the prestigious CEEC International Medal.
