The world’s premier mineral exploration and mining convention, PDAC 2019 Convention, will kick off in Toronto early next month, attracting 25,600 delegates from 135 countries, 3500 investors and 1000 exhibitors.
The four-day event offers technical sessions, short courses and networking events.
Of particular interest to processing specialists are presentations on geometallurgy and coarse gold; and for energy specialists, presentations on small modular reactors: powering the future of mining, and exploring drivers, trade-offs and specific tools for understanding climate change risks and opportunities.
The Exploration Insights program has a strong focus on big data and artificial intelligence, including a presentation from CEEC sponsor, Goldcorp: From paper to predictive models – Goldcorp’s journey applying artificial intelligence in the mining industry.
