This month's edition of Mining Magazine features an excellent review of energy consumption in copper concentrators for the 70's to the present. Written by Michael Nelson, Associate Professor and Chair of the Mining Engineering Department at the University of Utah; Dariusz Lelinski, Global Flotation technology manager and Amy Richins is Flotation Process engineer, both at FLSmidth Minerals, this article compares crushing, grinding and flotation energy consumption.
