The Global Mining Standards and Guideline group (GMSG) formed a new working group called the Working Group on “A Standard for Industrial Comminution Efficiency” in 2013. The group is headed by CEEC advocate Robert E. McIvor, who has devoted his career to the design and improvement of the processing performance of industrial grinding circuits

The Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group has a variety of workshops, meetings, and opportunities to connect during the SME Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, February 23 to 26 2014, including  a meeting of the Standard for Industrial Comminution Efficiency Working Group.

When: Feb 24, 2014, 10:00am- 12:00pm

Where: Granite Conference Center, Hilton Salt Lake City Center

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss, outline and assign tasks related to development of the Bond Work Index Efficiency guideline. Working Group Members have provided a great deal of input on this, and a “Discussion Document” will be prepared as an initial draft of the proposed guideline to be distributed in the near future. A list of reference materials related to Bond testing, etc. is under development, and Working Group Leader Rob McIvor invites everyone to  submit related materials.
